Job Title: Mechanical Fitters – Military Vehicle Systems
Location: Rustington, BN16
Vacancy Type: Full-time, Temp/Contract (6 months).
Salary: £20 per hour subject to experience

JOB SUMMARY
Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking to make an impact in a cutting-edge, global leader in military vehicle integration? Join NP Aerospace and be a vital part of our team, contributing to the assembly and integration of advanced armoured vehicles for multiple military contracts.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the precision assembly of armoured vehicles and their components, as well as the installation of complex sub-systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your hands-on expertise will be crucial to ensuring operational excellence and meeting the highest industry standards.

Please Note: There may be some requirements to work at our other facilities (Weybridge and Coventry) as and when required.
MAIN JOB DUTIES

  • Support the company activities our sites, customers or sub-contract facilities.
  • Hands on assembly of electro/mechanical assemblies including any of the following:
    Assembly of mechanical and electrical components
    Inspection
    Working with various mechanical equipment
    Working with various chemicals
    Reading schematic drawings
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to include lean manufacturing principles.
  • Assist the Production Manager on performance (KPI’s).
  • Contribute towards assisting in building a motivated team to increase morale.
  • Liaise with Research and Development to build communication and relationship between the two departments.

    EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of a C&G L3, or similar, in Automotive Engineering or Vehicle Systems.
  • ​Experience with low production manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Bespoke manufacture of automotive platforms.
