Our client is a leading composite company who seek an experienced and driven account manager with experience within the composite industry or industrial manufacturing, and a proven track record in sales.

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of customer contact and relationships.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager based nr Bradford, you will maintain and grow sales revenue in the UK through new and existing accounts.

Responsible for meeting or exceeding Gross Profit Margin budget, as well as maximizing profitability.

  • Support all aspects of customer contact and relationships based on the fundamentals of integrity and the Composites One Core Values.

  • Cultivate business relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales revenue within assigned geographic territory.

  • Meet Territory Budget Goals, including Sales, Gross Profit Margin (GPM) and others, as set by Manager.

  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.

  • Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction, inventory needs and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Communicate with customers and internal team on all key business aspects, including pricing, inventory, product quality, financial stability, competition, etc.

  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate internal staff and customers.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and internal team by adding value as a technical resource and solutions provider.

  • Uncover new opportunities within assigned sales territory; convert competitive business and strategic targets, as set by Regional Sales Manager; increase product group share at existing accounts.

  • Organize, grow and protect sales in assigned sales territory; effectively manages resources and expenses to maximize Return on Investment (ROI).

    Expected Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in the Composites industry and/or industrial manufacturing environment OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or customer service experience with a proven track record of sales success and/or technical skills.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Ability to learn internal database and software system.

  • Solid sales aptitude and the demonstrated ability to increase profits and market share.

  • Strong technical aptitude, an ability to learn and understand specific products, processes and strategies to best serve our customers.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; positive customer service focus.

  • Ability to travel within the UK up to 75%

  • Location - you may be based anywhere within the UK as long as you are prepared to travel up to 75% of the UK and visit HO nr Bradford when required. Travel to Ireland is also a requirement.

    Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the use of Customer Relationship Management systems (CRMs).

  • Prior experience with SAP, Sales Cloud or Salesforce.

  • A full driver’s license is required as there will be significant travel, primarily within the UK.

    Salary: £46-48k pa (negotiable dependent upon experience) plus bonus, company car, mileage/expenses, Life Insurance, up to 10% pension, Sick Pay Scheme plus more!
