Morson Talent are seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to be based in Gloucestershire. This role is for a Supplier Quality Representative site-based at a supplier’s facility. The individual would be responsible for Source Inspection AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) reviews and the clients FAI reviews. The individual will support and report audits and assessments of suppliers systems, processes and products, including inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.

Position Responsibilities:
• Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes and products to determine compliance with the clients technical and contractual requirements
• Conducts special process investigations in support of rejected product, notification of escapements, notices of failure.
• Documents and reports audit and assessment results
• Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements of various technologies and commodities
• Performs conformity inspections
• Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed as required evaluate supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans, review and support of improvement activities.
• Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work
• Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity
• Monitors quality improvement initiatives at supplier develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
• Supports in the selection of new suppliers or additional approved processes.
• Work with mentoring team members on SP education with regard to succession plan.
• Supports the team with technical aspects of special processes at assigned suppliers.
• Supports regulatory agency audits (FAA)

Required Skills/Experience:
• Prior audit and quality assessments experience in the aerospace industry
• Working or have worked at a company or government agency providing parts or services to the aerospace industry
• Working comprehension of the requirements of AS9100 and AS9102
• Working knowledge of D1-4426 and NADCAP
• Possess knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
• Ability and the technical skills to lead and perform source inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.
• Fluent in English in spoken and written.
Desired Skills/Experience:
• AS/EN9100 Lead Auditor / Aerospace Auditor (AA) / Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA)
• Have good understanding and experience in Quality Management Systems
• Have good understanding and experience in Special ProcessesWork directly with a special process (e.g., heat treating, composites, chemical processing, shot peening, non-destructive testing, and precision cleaning by performing the process, performing engineering on the process, or performing laboratory testing for the process).
• Ability to conduct audits of suppliers to determine compliance with the clients technical and contractual requirements
• Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies, providing training, and coaching

This position will be full time onsite at the supplier facility in Cheltenham
The selected candidate will need to be willing to flex working arrangements to fit with changing business and supplier requirements.

Contract until April 2026 with potential for extension
