Location: Edenbridge, Kent
Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-6:00pm)
Reports To: Toolroom Supervisor / Production Manager
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Lunch Break: 1 hour

Our client are looking for an experienced Metal Toolmaker to manufacture, repair, and maintain high-precision tools, dies, and fixtures for metal component production. This hands-on role requires strong machining skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Requirements:

3-5 years' experience in toolmaking or a similar role

Proficient in reading technical drawings and using both conventional and CNC machines

Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Relevant trade qualification in Toolmaking or Engineering

Desirable Requirements:

Experience with CAD/CAM (e.g. SolidWorks, Mastercam)

Understanding of lean manufacturing and ISO 9001 standards

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to produce precision tools and dies

Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machinery

Modify and repair existing tools to meet design and production needs

Test and adjust tools to ensure performance and accuracy

Work with engineers to improve tool design and production efficiency

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and inventory

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
